Electronicant in an electronic music album that explores a variety of styles from synthwave and techno to rock.

The standout track by a large margin is track 7, Deep Blue's Electric Sheep. With a solid retro drum machine groove, engaging melancholic chord progression, and chiptune melody, the track is balanced and overall feels quite good.

The rest of the tracks on this album don't live up to the same level of consistency. Track 1, 1234, Stop, Repeat opens strong with bass, drums, melody, and a simple accompaniment. The main melodic idea is admittedly catchy and there are some interesting ideas on display that move through a few melodic variations. Overall, the track struggles to carry momentum without any significant variation in dynamics, timbre, or tone.

The rest of the album follows a similar pattern. The tracks all feature a few good ideas, but these ideas are inevitably undercut by what feels like a rushed production. The volume levels are inconsistent between tracks, the bass and kick drums are in frequent competition for the low end, and track transitions feel abrupt.

Consider track 4, Buzz Saw. The long attack time of the gritty bass sounds great on the slow parts, but struggles to keep up during the fast sections. The kick drum is buried the whole time. The rock guitar sound on track 5, Cop This works well, and the riffs are engaging, but the chords sound overpowering and the rhythm struggles to groove with its robotic precision.

Each track comes with a similar list of parts that work and parts that feel unfinished.

If you're looking for musical inspiration, this album has a number of good ideas. All said, the album is decent and at the very least you should check out track 7, Deep Blue's Electric Sheep.
