I hope all my fellow Brits aren't struggling with the heat as much as I am in this very hot garden office.
So I've had a few people contact me saying they've had issues logging in, and then this morning when making some changes to the site I myself also had problems logging in.
It's supposed to work like you register or log in, and then you get emailed a 6 digit password, and you use that to log in. Simple (albeit slightly faffy).
The problem is that these emails weren't always getting sent. I blame this pretty much entirely on the email service I was using, (not so) Goodsender.
I picked this one because its free tier would still allow for up to 10,000 emails, but I've had nothing but problems with it since integrating it.
So now I've swapped that out for Resent. I'm still on the free tier because I don't have very much money, but with the amount of action the site gets it shouldn't exceed the 100 per day/3000 per month email limits. If it does then that's a good problem to have.
