Well, I have to say I feel very comfortable reviewing the album Imagen latente. It is music in Spanish, my native language, and in a style that I listened to extensively during my early years of musical development: post punk.

The album opens with a fantastic track, A Veces Llueve, which almost immediately reminded me of Alaska y Los Pegamoides, one of the fundamental bands of La Movida, the countercultural movement that emerged during Spain's transition to democracy. I feel there is a lot of Olvido Gara in the singer of ERROR DE PARALAJE, as well as in the 80s sound that characterized many of the bands from that era.

As the album progresses, this connection with Spanish post punk, and punk as a whole, becomes even stronger. I feel that this band's sound could hardly have emerged anywhere other than Spain. Their Iberian identity comes through in every aspect of their music. I found this incredibly refreshing, since it is something that happens less and less in today's hyperconnected world, where the local eventually dissolves into the global.

Another track I really enjoyed is Nada, with lyrics that sit somewhere between anhedonia and nihilism, while at the same time being incredibly fun and danceable. I think that also applies perfectly to the entire album. I am sure you will have a great time listening to it from beginning to end, dancing all the way through.

As an Argentine musician who loves Spanish post punk, and who also lives in Asturias, Spain, I have to say that this band from Granada has truly reached my heart. This is a highly recommended album. I will definitely be coming back to it, and I hope I get the chance to see them live one of these days.
