Mi Cerebro Anda Mal cover art

Mi Cerebro Anda Mal by Nico Leivo is a pop track with very clean production and great arrangements. I have to say it was not what I expected judging by the cover art, which gave me the feeling that something more cacophonous was approaching, but it turned out to be the opposite. I have always found it very difficult not to judge an album by its cover.

It took me back to the sound of Argentine pop from the mid 2000s to the early 2010s. As an Argentine myself, just like Nico, I have to bring up a reference from my own country, and it reminded me a little of the sound of the album Amor En Polvo by Emmanuel Horvilleur, with a lot of groove and very harmonious electronic arrangements. It is a sound that, nowadays, anyone familiar with pop will have heard, or at least something similar.

As for the lyrics, they tell us about that dichotomy that we all suffer from at some point with our own body, where we would like it to go one way, but it ends up going in the opposite direction or it doesn't even move, something I would say is quite basic to the human condition. It also portrays us the mental aspect and frustration of want to do something and not being able to.

In short, the track is good, and it is an easy and pleasant listen. You can tell that Nico knows a lot about music production and mixing, since everything sounds impeccable. It is worth taking into account that he did everything himself, including the mixing and mastering.
