this has gotta be one of the more interesting albums ive heard in a long while, the whole thing has this really menacing sort of uneasy vibe to it that i really love! its got you constantly on edge like youre exploring some sort of abandoned factory, not knowing just what could pop out at any moment...
i think what i just explained applies the best to one of my favorite tracks on this album, Grimoire. its a very grim sounding track as the title would imply, it feels like its building up endlessly into something loud and heavy and yet it never does which surprisingly enough i feel benefits the track here! the album has this really awesome sort of lowkey atmosphere to it, where it makes you feel unsettled without relying on loud sudden noises or anything of that sort, instead it delivers a consistent gloomy and industrial sound that i really dig. and speaking of industrial, i really love the synths (if thats the proper name) on Liberterian Enslavement, thats gotta be another favorite track of mine on here for how tense it feels, i feel like this album could honestly work wonders as a soundtrack for a horror game!
the production on this album is also really good, the guitar tone is gritty but also not too heavy which further helps sell the ominous but lowkey vibe, the clean guitars sound especially amazing here and the drums are quite nice too. the added ambient sounds in the background also help the tracks feel more full and uneasy, and i think they might be one of my favorite parts of the albums sound as a whole, theres some real interesting stuff going on in all of these tracks so you always want to listen closely to them!
that being said though i do have one slight complaint about the album that being how repetitive it can sound at times, though again this is only a slight complaint cause the repetiteveness does help the vibe of tracks like Grimoire, but i think some of these tracks could have been expanded into something even more interesting than they already are.
so all in all, i really liked this album! i didnt really know what to expect when i looked through the bandcamp page but i was met with something surprisingly interesting and unique, so im really glad i decided to listen to this album and i highly urge anyone reading this to give it a listen aswell!
