I normally wouldn't think this is necessary, but if you're reading this review then you should know that you might encounter some words that you'd rather not read. In which case you could probably look at the artist and release title and determine that this is not going to be for you.

When you see a band with a name like Disinterested Handjob, you probably conjure up an idea of what that band is probably like, and I think I was fairly on the money. This is a grindcore album made up of 30 tracks with lengths ranging from ten seconds to a comparatively epic one minute thirty five.

It's great.

If you've ever listened to bands like Anal Cunt or Napalm Death, this is like that. Fast tracks with trashing guitars, double kick drums, and guttural screaming. Like Anal Cunt, a lot of the fun and creativity comes from the titles. Songs like That Unsightly Tumour On Your Erection; Everything In The World Is Shit, Except The Piss; and my personal favourite, The Enemy Of My Enemy Is Still A Cunt.

There's a certain category of music, which I would say grindcore and especially Disinterested Handjob fall into, which is drastically improved by the inappropriateness of the situation. Listening to it here in my office - great. Seeing this band play live in a quiet pub - better. Putting Total Rectal Collapse on instead of the Pachelbel's Canon at your cousin's wedding - perfection.

It's very, very fun, and I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to piss their parents off.
