It is a fortunate coincidence that I get to listen to this track right after having finished to watch a short animated series called "My two cents". I feel like the theme of this song would definitely fit with the atmosphere of the series, which talks (among other topics) about the unexplicable feelings of unhappiness that sometimes we all experience even when there is formally nothing "wrong" going on in our lives.

This is the Secret, the sadness that we feel ashamed of, that we guiltily hide because we feel like we are not entitled to be unhappy.

The track opens with a bright piano that supports the vocals with simple long chords, with some incursions of the electric guitars with their distorted and slightly dissonant riffs. I was expecting the percussions to come out at any point and the rhythm to accelerate, but the song keeps flying low, alternating moments with just piano and voice with the stabbing appearances of the six strings, creating tension and leaving the listener hungry for more, and I say this in the nicest way possible.

In conclusion, this is definitely a pleasant track. Every aspect of the songwriting shows attention to details and the artist definitely put thought and passion into it. The lyrics denote sensitivity in their simplicity. Plus, it makes you want to dig deeper into the artist's discography, so I'd consider it a success!
