Have you ever listened to a song and have it resonate with you so much, so perfectly fit your exact mood and current place in the world that you need to listen to it a second, third, maybe even fourth time? in spite of despair did that for me. It's twenty-two minutes long.

Normally with this kind of thing I would make a note of what movements happen at what time and talk about what was happening and what dramatic effect they had, but I'm on something of a low ebb today and I didn't have it in me so instead I turned the volume up, closed my eyes, and sat here next to the overworked air conditioner in my otherwise extremely hot garden office and let it wash over me.

So what did I feel?

I felt myself sink into the ocean. I felt all my worries and anxieties floating next to me. Not gone. They're still there. But we're co-existing. The music gently pulling them away from the surface of my mind. Synths bubble and bobble and ring out into the distance. The ambient hum is bottomless, while the surface is beyond reach. For twenty-two minutes, things are okay.
